Artisan Centre & Supply Warehouse
Any of the four classroom spaces can be booked any day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. for as little as an hour or as much as the full day. Staff will come in to open and close. Coffee/tea will be set up and the register will be open for a half hour before and after the booking time.
Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact us for availability.
Rental of the space will include:
- Use of some equipment and tools as available, however the instructor may need to provide extra to meet the number of students attending.
- Washroom facilities.
- Coffee/tea table. You may bring in any snacks to add to the table.
- Use of both audio (mic and speakers) and video (computer-connect projector)
- Insurance coverage* The relationship between the store and booking party, and store and the attendees is covered. The relationship between booking party and attendees is NOT.
Charges
- Payment in full will be required to confirm the time allotment.
- Guelph Guilds and qualifying crafting groups will be at $10 per hour for their meetings and associated classes/events.
- All others will be at $20 per hour.
- All day and multiple day events/classes can be negotiated.
- Store Vendors under contract receive a discount.
Description of Premises
Capacity is still to be established, and will depend on the type of activity, but the four spaces will easily accomodate a group of 8 to 200+.
There are four spaces.
- Lounge which comfortably seats 8 for a business meeting or small craft activity.
- Boardroom which comfortably seats 12 for a meeting or small craft activity.
- Walled warehouse space 16' x 21'.
- Approximately 1,700 square feet of open warehouse space with 30' ceilings, bay door and man doors for ventilation and loading.
All spaces are well equipped with electrical outlets and bright lighting (but may need to be supplemented). Space is outfitted with tables and chairs or warehouse space can be completely empty.
Fire extinguishers, fire blanket, eye wash station, shower, first aid kit and panic button located onsite.
